QotD: I Backed Out

Have you ever backed out on doing something you promised you'd do? Did you have a good reason for going back on your word?

Yeah, I actually just did that a few days ago =( I'm ashamed to say. I had promised Christine that I would totally party it up for NYE. Unfortunately, as NYE approached, I just wasn’t in a very “going out” mood. That, plus none of the places she and her friends were thinking of going to really appealed to me. So, I ended up backing out! I felt really bad, but I told her that I would have been total deadweight if I had gone, and she probably would have hated me for ruining her NYE.
I did promise her that I would be going to her half-birthday celebration in a few months. And THAT I will definitely be keeping =)
